The Opening

A video installation exploring taboo, gender, identity and sexuality in relation to the collective impact of patriarchal structures.

The work presents individuals in explicit poses, maintaining direct eye contact with the audience.
While their upper bodies remain conventionally dressed, their lower bodies are exposed — creating a tension between familiarity, vulnerability and confrontation.

Fragments of voice messages from the portrayed individuals are layered into the space, offering insights into personal experiences and trauma.
The voices remain unassigned, leaving the relationship between body and narrative unresolved.
